Rivas Medical Weight Loss

Okay-facility if you have no other choices but quite frankly its expensive and some of the providers are condescending and accusatory. I switched to push health and a compound pharmacy and now get my meds for less than half of what I paid here. My last appointment at the GB location 2 weeks ago was less than stellar. I get nausea from the medication which is a very common symptom. When I did the initial appointment, I was reassured the providers like to prescribe zofran to help the symptoms. I did 7 weeks worth of shots with Rivas. I lost about 15 lbs BUT the provider I saw constantly was condescending and VERY fake. At the last appointment her and the MA's (who have no right to deny me medication as they are not providers in any aspect) refused to give me anymore zofran. Lisa, the PA, accused me of getting it the week before and saying I was getting it too much. Mind you, I was getting the zofran every other week and sometimes I still had 3-4 pills left over but I would buy it to have just in case. I had not gotten the zofran the week before and she looked me straight in the eyes and told me yes I did. I had to argue that I did not get zofran nor did I pay for it, that she was misunderstood and that was two weeks prior. After some investigating she found a documentation error BUT did not apologize for accusing me of getting the medication and refusing to give it. This was the 2nd to last week in November and she gave me 10 pills that she told me to make last until January. She then tried to say "well maybe you would do better on trizepitide" knowing thats stronger and most people have worse symptoms on that medication AND knowning I had been on it last year and couldnt take the symptoms. It felt as though she was trying to make more money by having me switch to something more expensive. She rubs me the wrong way so I just felt it was best to switch. Again, its an OKAY facility if you have no other choices but there are much cheaper options out there. I was paying $110 a week which was about $440-550/ month but now im paying $75 for my office visit and $125 for my medications. Look around before settling.
